Go to your Doctor and tell them your depressed. If you don't know why your feeling the way you do you may have a chemical imbalance that is causing this. Also, a Doctor can guide you in the right direction maybe as to helping you find a good psychologist that help treat depression.

This sounds like depression . You say you have family and friends but are not happy . The first thing to do is see your family doctor . Tell him how you are feeling . He will give you some options . He might put you on medication . Depression is some time a chemical imbalance in the brain . Not a life and death thing but it can make your life miserable . Your doctor might prescribe both medication and consoling . See what he has to say . Don't set home and not enjoy life . Do something about this way you feel .

I've been where you are and now that I'm better I can usaully tell if some one is going through what I've gone through. I've couched a lot of people on this, what I told them and they agreed it doesn't matter how many peoople are around you'll always have a sense of emptyess that's deeper than the grand canyon.Some people take insult to this but see a doctor and tell them exactly what you stated here then say I know I should be happy but I'm miserable and don't know why since I have everything going for my self.

First you have to find out what makes you miserable. Once found, go from there.
If still not found, you should look at life as a simple thing. Most people overthink, analize and expect too much out of themselve and others. Stop there and try to expect nothing. Let life goes as the way it is and see what happen.

First and foremost, find out what's missing in your life and fill in the missing void in your life. Next...well, from what you say that seems to be the only thing holding you down. Just remember that you don't always need a reason to be happy, you can be happy just for the sake of it.

find a hobby that you like. Go out and meet new friends. Have a good time. Volunteering is also good, it makes you feel good when you are helping other people. good luck -- life will get better, you'll see!!
