Living in Texas, my electric bill drops drastically during the winter. Consider a $500 bill for July versus $86 for October!

However, if last year is anything to go by, my electric bill will rise by about $10 for the Christmas season. I don't do a lot of lights and fuss, though. Just the tree.

Depends on where you live. If you live in a hot climate and run the a/c all the time, your bill might actually drop if you can turn the a/c off and open the windows during the winter. In that case, usage from Christmas lights is negligable.

My electric bill is running $90 for November. September it was $190. Big difference. So mine drops.
