It was on in the early eighties.it was about some children and it was on around christmas time on a sunday tea time.

ahh yes the Box of Delights, the story of Kay Harker (devin Stanfield, who helps the old Punch and Judy man played by the late Patrick Troughton (2nd Doctor Who) and their fight to keep the box of delights from the wolves who pretended to be clerics and were led by the evil Robert Stephens in his quest for immortality

It can be purchased on DVD as i got mine last Christmas and its still as great to watch 22 yrs later

Yes absolutely cracking series. Just like most of the Sunday tea time stuff was. What has happened how come now i get to watch wanna be' s showing how desperate they are. To who every said its 22 years old please delete this as I'm feeling decidedly old my self now.

Was it the year before or after tripods??

Yeah, I loved it but was terrified of the wolf face when they did that big zoom in of it growling.
I'd love to see it again, I can't even remember the plot except there was a box and a boy held it and a beardy man spoke to him.

Yes, I remember this. I loved it at the time. I think I remember seeing the dvd to buy on Play.com website.

Yeah I remember, was it on sunday nights? I remember looking forward to the next instalment - but haven't got a clue what it was about! Nice childhood memories though, thanks!

I used to watch it with my kids. I recently bought it on VHS to do a bit of Reminiscing................THE WOLVES ARE RUNNING!
