The Federal Department of Hydrolics Piping and Tubing (FDHPT) has a 1-800 number for all locating all items found in their ducts. Although it is a federal agency there are offices in each state so it is not like you would have to wait for your necklace to get to D.C. before claiming it. The number should be listed in the phone book along with all other governmental contact numbers.

If my jewelry made it to the doody, I'm not sure I would want it back no matter how expensive it was.

But, if you're into the scat thing, you could investigate any sewer "traps". Houses don't usually have them, but apartments sometimes have a man hole covered trap. Crawl in the trap and dig around in the doody and you might find the necklace of your dreams.

There could be a possibility that it got stuck in the pipes, in which case you would have to take the entire unit off of the wall and go through the pipes. I recommend calling a plumber so that you don't damage anything. If it went all the way down the sewage line, it is lost forever.

....I dont think so.
I've dropped stuff down there too. It sucks.
Once its "flushed" its gone, it goes to
a huge sewer thing, then is filterd and let into the ocean.
Or some big body of water *i forgot*

It was on the Oprah show.

It is highly unlikely, but I suppose if you are determined enough. Perhaps you could call the sewer department, or water departments, find out who controls the lines there, and ask if any jewelry showed up in the filter. That would be my guess...

Do not flush the toilet again, call the plumber. you probably lost it, but if it is heavy enought their might be some kind of trap down the line he can check.
