Smaller. The size of geographical features will appear distorted. If many smaller mountains surround a large mountain, then the large mountain might appear small when viewed from 50 miles away. At 100 miles the height of a mountain range is more impressive--even when the highest peak appears to be small. At 100 miles--you might not see the lesser peaks!

Being as the earth curves down and away from you it will make the mountain appear smaller. The earth would have to curve upwards (which would be impossible) to make it appear larger.

Think about it!

Which way does the earth curve away from you? Does it curve up or down? Look at a globe. Which way would distant objects move as you increase your distance form them?

I'll bet its in your book.
