Drink green tea and keep up the walking for half hour a day, the green tea will speed up your metabolism. Well done.... keep going!

Hello:
This is in response to your question concerning a stall in your weight loss.
This is a very common occurrence for individuals trying to diet and lose weight. It is called a "plateau".
Your weight is about 145 pounds. I do not know your height so I cannot calculate your "body mass index" which is simply a number assigned based on a mathematical equation using your height and weight. Above "30" is considered obese and high risk for cardiovascular disease.
It is very common to lose weight when you first start a program but like I said eventually you will hit that plateau. Your body is setting its weight. Now if you continue and dont get too discouraged, you will start losing weight again, albeit not as quickly as you initially were.
You dont necessarily have to spend the money joining a gym.
If you were walking for half an hour, pick it up to 45-60 minutes.
Do some other aerobic exercises, ie. jumping jacks, jogging in place, riding a bike, swimming, etc.
And just watch what you take in in your diet. If you cut in between meal snacking, eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and a smaller than normal dinner, cut out sodas (go to diet), drink a lot of water, eat more fiber in your diet which will help move the food through you quicker, that way your body doesnt have time to absorb all of the calories.
And yes, if and when you get pregnant you can definately continue exercising, aerobically. I wouldnt suggest rock climbing, or motorcycling but there is absolutely nothing wrong with continuing your exercise routine far into your pregnancy.
I hope this helped answer your questions.
Good luck with the weight loss and getting pregnant.
Regards,
Warren Shaffer, M.D.
