While misery does love company...what is actually happening here is a call for help. Very often people suffer ring misery are actually saying...'please help me, I don't know what to do' and 'can you say something to make me feel better about myself in my present state of mind'.

I'm happy therefore my home is happy. But when I'm pissed not a word in my home. Kinda sad really that my feelings represent my household as well. So screw everyone else just be happy and get away from the misery.

Misery loves company and partners and people surrounding them just to feel sorry for them.
I'm the type I don't like that kind because no matter what you do all they are going to do is still wallow in their cesspool of misery.
I like the silver lining on the cloud sort of thing.

Do not surrender to the force of unhappiness, grasshopper. Move away from it - quickly. Misery not only loves company, it consumes, pollutes and destroys it. Run ... NOW!!!

It's hard to pretend to be happy just for the sake of others. If I was really sad i could not be happy just because i was making a few ppl upset. I think just being around someone who is sad can make you sad to, but i do not think most ppl do it on purpose, they are not in the mood to put on a fake smile.
I do agree with the old saying though=)

They are selfish and self centered and believe everything in the world should revolve around them. They are the same people who get jealous if someone gets a promotion or new car. They think they are the only people who deserve good things. If they don't have good things, they don't want others to have them either.

Absolutely!!!
People that are unhappy are unable to conceive that someone else is happy.
And, I also think they tend to get jealous of your happiness therefor they become doomsayers.
They always try to find the negative in everything.
You need to ignore them! Continue being Happy! Life is wonderful!
Hope this helps.

very true. it is the same with rage, being mad at everyone around you. something in most humans' brains is wired to blame their surroundings for the things in life that agitate them most. it is their way. the best way to avoid is to refuse to surrender, and try and cheer em up with a good joke, or ignore them completely if you are that kind of person.
