Is taste a physical or chemical propery, and please explain why if you can, i need this badly, thank you for answering

Chemical. Because the way everything reacts to make you taste things. Thats why different things have different tastes. A physical property would be touch cause thats how it feels and theres no reactions taking place.

I would agree with the first respondent, taste is a physical property because it is sensed by the body. There may be many compounds that taste salty but could be very different chemically.

From my source below: "A PHSICAL PROPERTY is a property of matter that can be OBSERVED or MEASURED WITHOUT CHANGING the composition of the substance." Chemical properties would have to be observed in action, which may involve a reaction.

Still, it is not recommended to taste chemicals of unknown sources. The other physical properties are safer and more encouraged to observe.

haha 8th grade science,
taste is a chemical property.
Becouse on your toung are taste budds which react to certin chemicals in a certin way, like take salt for example
salt is composed of, chlorine and sodium and when your toung touches those chemicals it reacts to them by sending a wave to your brain whcih then gives you the sense and experiance of tasteing salt
