Because they do not know the actual meaning of life. They have lost their simplicity. They think materialism is the answer to their problems which is only giving them more suffering. Women have left their God given positions as proper mothers and wives and home makers so the whole family is unhappy these days. If women would take back their very important positions they would be more peaceful, the family would get home cooked meals and be cared for and the husbands wouldn't feel neglected, and the House would be cleaned and organized. That is if they actually took back their positions with the rite attitude. Then their would be less need for psych medications and therapy and less divorce and sickness in the family. It is practical knowledge.

Its called keeping up with the Jones's, people need to learn to enjoy what they have, no matter how little, then they will find pleasure and happiness, longevity and gain and loose the need of worry, which is the #1 cause of stress.

i think we work too much to earn money to buy thngs we dont need...we wory about getting the latest in technology.the latest in clothing.gta make sure our house is decked out with the latest trendy furniture....i think we are chasing our tails.we have done everything by the time we are 18, with nothing to look forward to except the materialistic pleasures.so we keep working long hours to fill up our lives with empty pleasures.instead of just sitting back and smelling the roses.

Greed, coupled with an insatiable sense of entitlement. America is also rife with anomie (moral normlessness) and a narcotic-like dependence on media to think for them.

Im tired of working two jobs to make money, then have to pay for the governments follies, like the war, social security, etc

because everyone is overworked especially salaried
people who do not get paid extra if they go over 40 hours.
This country(USA) needs to bring back the 8 hour day.
