We wont know until he comes back this season and actually plays. I like Hboro, but I am str8 up UNC fan. But Oden is a monster on the court, he truly has potential to be the player of the year especially with that supporting cast, the "Thad Five" , keeping defenses honest against him. Ellis lit us up last nite for 30. But right now, Tyler is the man. He never tires, doesnt slip on his technique, and is a very smart player. I gotta go wit my Heel, Hboro.

Tyler Hansbrough is an ox, but Oden may prove to be the best player in college basketball. Remember, the only reason that he's not in the league, is because he's two years too late. One of the foundational rules in all of sports is, "you cant teach size", and Greg Oden is 7ft. and 280lbs., he can run the floor, he actually can jump(unlike most 7 footers), and he has an uncanny knack for blocking shots. They may be the best young bigs in college ball, if not the best bigs period. I both of them over Joakim, because again, "you can't teach size", and they are bulkier and their frames are more muscular, Noah might be more of a Tyson Chandler, while Hansbrough and Oden are more like a Jermaine O'neal or Tim Duncan.

TH is a very good player and could rank in the all time UNC best big men. That being said Oden is better. No questions asked. He could be the best all time anywhere.
He was greatly missed last night though. It says a lot when "Freshman point guard Tywon Lawson, who like his Tar Heel classmates is familiar with Oden from the summer and all-star game circuits, said bluntly: "They were missing that tough inside presence, and if he were there when we'd go in the lane, he would block all our shots " That says a lot.
I just hope they meet again in March or even April.

hansbrough is sick no doubt. his work ethic, his athleticism, and his soft touch are all fantastic. that said, oden at 100% is already good enough to start in the nba. he is close to 7'1" and about 270 pounds, but he's got a huge wingspan and is really athletic. defensively he is the best player in college already, and his offense is coming along, although it's certainly not on the level of hansbrough's he doesn't need to be just yet, because he's got 3-4 inches and 20+ pounds more to work with. right now, i'd probably take hansbrough, just because of his offense. but for next season, wherever either of them are playing, i'll take oden any day

statistics do not constantly tell the story. the only thank you to wisely choose it is by making use of pitting the two face to face and seeing who dominates whom. regrettably, on account that it is not likely to ensue interior the best 4, we are going to could await the NBA. That, my buddy, is the place you will quickly see that comparing Tyler Hansbrough to Greg Oden is like comparing Brian Scalabrine to Chris Bosh. there is not any evaluation. Hansbrough would be a touch used back-up means forward mutually as Oden would be somebody's franchise midsection.
