Im trying to order an item online, but I have a visa check card, and not a credit card, and on the payment page there is no selection for a check card so would I just select credit card??

I have a visa debit/check card and im trying to order something online, but on the payment page there is no section for debit/check card, so would i use it the same way as a credit card?

Best I understand, a Visa Check Card is the same thing as a Debit Card, where it acts like a check and the whole amount is deducted from your Account. If I am correct about this, yes, absolutely you can use it for online purchases, just as you would use a credit card. Only thing different is, that you are not buying on credit, but making a fast electronic payment transfer out of your account in the full amount. I sure do like this because I don't have to worry about "over the top" credit charges, and I am not tempted to buy beyond my means. It would just bum me out to realise I was probably paying $200 for a $35 item, by the time I actually had it payed off.

Yes. A check card works exactly the same way as a credit card at places who only take credit cards and not debit/check cards.

Yes, use it as a credit card. But BE CAREFUL! This is a direct line into your checking account, so be very sure of whom you are ordering from, that the site is secure and has the little locked padlock at the bottom in the toolbar.

it works just like a visa. except if you get your identity stolen and someone cleans out your checking account you are at the mercy of your bank to refund your money in a timely manner. if you use a real credit card you dont have that risk. i personally never use my bank card online for anything just for that reason.

I'm pretty sure you can use your check card just like a credit card. I wouldn't leave much in that account though in case of internet fraud.

yes-they all work the same as credit card.and this gives you the option of buying items that you can only get with a credit card.
