What would it be like if we invoked the Monroe Doctrine today? Discuss.?

What Europeans are trying to take over lands in the Americas? I haven't heard of any lately, so the Monroe Doctrine couldn't be invoked.

Given that all lands in the Americas are settled, sovereign nations, it would be absurd.

It wouldn't be, it would start a war. I guess. I just learned about it today.
