why do people use stupid profile names ? i use my own name. i'm not one bit ashamed for my name to be seen

I have used a phony name before but i figure ....why do that ? i may not have the best answers or ask the right questions. but when someone uses obscene or just plain old stupid names , who wants people like that to answer a question ? it seems like the people that use vulgar or ridiculous names give lame answers. i don't know. maybe there's a good reason for not using your own name. i haven't had a computer for very long so i'm kinda new to all of this. it may be better if i use a tasteful name....i suppose there are people out there that might be able to find out where i live or something. crap !!!! i don't know. all i do know is this THERE ISN'T ANY REASON FOR ANYONE TO USE IGNORANT NAMES. it's just silly......ok now !!!!!! all of you with stupid names........COME GET ME !!!!!!!!!!! I use my real name too. Always have. And I have a website with my name, so I'm not hiding out. It also means that I will be polite and courteous when I answer questions since I'm not hiding behind a phony identity.

I used to worry about some internet crazy person tracking me down but when that didn't happen I figured "oh what the heck" and started using my real name. I think the main reason is people are just being cautious.

The reason for names that aren't there's is because there either vary insecure with who they are our there just movie freaks.

you shouldn't use your own name, as it's easier to become a target of identity theft that way.
