do you think for one second that Graham polls' assistant referees will actually admit that he said anything untoward to a chelsea player?
dont you think it is about time that we had an independant person listening to what referees say to the players?
I know fer sure that if we did the referees in question would behave in a VERY different manner just look at rugby, they give the referee a microphone link to the stadiums tannoy where EVERYONE can hear what they say, isn't it about time football got the same system?

and yes I am a Chelsea supporter but I am sure all the other fans would like to see something done about the two bob referees trying to make a name fer themselves by sending off a high profile player for no reasonable offence eh?

I can see where you are coming from and you have a good point.

It would be a great system to implement. I think it would help if the refs had to speak with an independent person and actually give a reason for some of their calls.

Personally, I'm fine with how the game is right now. I really don't want football to become like every other sport. I think some things, good or bad, have helped shape the game into the exciting, fair and unfair, chaotic, fun, energizing, and whatever else game that it is today.

But that is a great idea, nonetheless. Good thinking :)

Yes I agree, in rugby which is a tougher sport played in a high pressure enviroment but the player still respect the decisions given by the referee. In 1989 they miked up a referee (er, forgot the refs name) in a game Millwall v Arsenal, the millwall players knew the ref was bugged but not the arsenal players and they constantly argued any decision against them (Tony Adams calling him a cheat was funny)

I agree 100%. Poll was just out to make a name for himself that day v Spurs. as a Chelsea die-hard i was furious that knob cost us 3 pts. He sent off JT for no reason, disallowed Droggy's goal and missed sending off Ghaly. Those gits should answer to some higher independent ref's authority.

in soccer there is no honesty to much money every team who pay the referee and the fifa they win Italy they never give no money to no one so we are robed all the time I think people should get smart and do not going to see any more games
