Can you tell me what a Laptop should have installed to make it fast and reliable. The best make the things that you don't regret buying or wish you had bought
I.e. Best Processer etc I don't know the things to ask for?

Good time to buy a labtop, since most manufacturers will give you a free upgrade to Window Vista when it's out. As a general rule you should have:
1. Pentium Dual core 1.6GH or faster. Or get a AMD dualcore
2. 100GB or more Hardrive.
3. 1 or 2 GB of Ram.
4. Wireless card and ethernet built-in motherboard.
5. A DVD burner if you want to burn dvd/cd. DVD-rom at the least.
6. A good graphic chip from Nvidia or ATI. Do not use the the Intel built-in graphic.
7. Creative lab sound card/chip.
8. Have at least a 15.4" lcd screen or better yet go for a 17" screen.
All in all that will cost you between $1000-$1500

For Best Laptop, you should have following things.
1. Processor Speed should be 1.6G or more, Intel Core Duo
2. Ram 1G
3. Hard drive 100 G
4 Wireless Card

Core 2 Duo processor, Wireless adapter (preferably Intel's Pro Wireless),at least 1GB of memory (2GB would be better), widescreen monitor, and at least Intel's GMA 950 graphics processor.

Don't ask for an iBook, ask for a MacBook..it's the news version of Apple's iBook. I got one recently...awww man..it's super-duper fast! I have 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD...it's awesome....
