I live in Minnesota, All I have to say girl is LAYERS! Make sure you got long johns wool socks the whole nine yards. That way if you get warm you can always take some off.

Eat a snack before bed, this will keep you warm while your body digests the food. Invest in a wood burning stove, the are cozy, very effective, and wood is free for those willing to look.

I make my homemade chicken noodle soup and get the firewood and start a fire and pull out all my warm blankets and winter clothes! :)
