The "Starving Time" occured from 1609 to 1610.

What do you mean exactly? The 'Holodomor' (Stalin's forced famine of peasants to break their spirit and get them to turn over their property to the State) in Ukraine happened in 1932-33. It certainly qualifies as a 'Starving Time'... whether it is the one you're referring to or not, I'm not sure. 10 million Ukrainians died in that period. We just commemorated 73 years
