I want this music as performed by genuine Maori people. Any info on who has recorded it and is it available on the high street?

I think Dame Kiri Te Kanawa performed it and she's a Maori.
I don't know where you can get a "proper" recording. Most branches of HMV have a world music section, so this might be a place to look.

The only version I know was recorded by Hayley Westenra, but if you put the title up on Google they may come up with someone else.
