Yu-Gi-Oh is a manga (Japanese comic) that revolves around a shy 10th grader named Yugi Muto, he then assembles this Millennium Puzzle whic releases a 5000-year-old spirt and infuses to Yugi. The two, and their friends get involve in dangerous and bizzare adventures all while playing the game of Duel Monsters and recovering the spirit's past, originating in ancient Egypt. Since 1996 when the manga came out, it became a hit, which then introduced the anime (Japanese cartoons) and the real-life version of Duel Monsters still played today. I guess the idea behind the cards is imitating a deck of cards with monsters, spells, and traps from the characters of the manga and anime. Well, I was in to it, and I still am, just the manga.

Yu-Gi-Oh is a trading card game (TCG) that involves the uses of monsters, spells, and traps.

There are different types:

A normal monster is well, normal.

An effect monster has a special effect, such as, "When this monster is sent to the graveyard as a result of battle, you can summon a monster with an attack of 1500 or less from your deck. Then shuffle your deck."

According to this, when the monster is dead, you can pick any kind of monster from your deck as long as it has an attack of 1500 or less.

A fusion monster is a combination of two to four monsters (although I believe there is one that combines 5, FGD Dragon) via the magic card, Polymerization. Notice the prefix poly-, like in polynomial.

You need the cards required and Polymerization in your hand or face-down on the field to fuse. This kind of summon is called a fusion summon.

A ritual monster, like Black Luster Soilder requires a sacrifice, like in those wierd rituals, to summon a monster plus its required ritual spell.

A trap is a card that can only be played on your opponent's turn unless otherwise stated. Such include A Hero Emerges, Taunt, and Deck Destruction Virus.

A counter trap is one that sets off a replay.

Yu-Gi-Oh is also a manga, in the Shonen Jump magazine.

It's also a TV show on CN, 1730/1630 Central.

becoming king of games soon the show started to revolve
around masters and wizards which later became duel monsters

and gaia the fierce knight soon there was a sequal to the show that focused more around the cards yugioh duelist the one we all grew up with the card game builds intellect and exercises your
brain while you are stratigizing to win by using monsters and
spells and traps to win and having fun. it's not just for little
kids its for teens adults seniors its for everybody and it gets
you free stuff if you gamble that's what i be doin you can
even go to a tournament. and win cooler stuff so it not
stupid it's just pure fun anyone who's never played only say
it's stupid cuase they have cards but are too ashamed to
talk about it. i know a lot of people who don't talk about yugioh
but when you challenge them i'll bet they'll say "you're on!!"

Yu-Gi-Oh is based off a show that has been showing for a long time. The whole idea is to take different types of cards and use them 2 out play ur opponent. Its more like chess, where u have to use strategy to overtake ur opponent.

There are different types of cards, many types that u can build a deck in order to beat ur opponent. Many people (boys and girls) that use different types of elements or types. U can play with fire, water, dark, light, or wind. U can use their different attributes and wat not, like fiends, warriors, fairies, and etc...U can either build a deck that has 1 type or many types as long as they support each other. U have monters that have special abilities that can help u out, or u have regular monsters that have very high atks or defense.

Magic cards help u win also. They can increase ur monsters atk, defense or destroy monsters. They can help u draw cards to increase ur chances of winning, can take out other magic cards, or even help bring out monsters that have been destroyed or havent been played yet.

Traps do the same as Magic cards, but they r different. They can do the same thing, but they can also help u out alot. Some can prevent an atk from ur opponent, can negate magic or trap cards, or can even inflict damage straight to ur opponent without going through monsters.

All in all, the whole idea is thinking of ways to put a deck 2gether and seeing who has the better strategy in taking out sum1. Like I said, its like playing chess, but u have a WIDE variety of options 2 play. Its all base on strategy, but not boring like chess, if ur not the chess playing person. I just used it as an example. People who have been playing it 4 a long time know about the different cards and what they do. Its a great way 4 kids to get along and play. It teaches them strategy and ways on using different cards to overtake ur opponent.

this card game is based on monster cards, trap cards and spell cards in place of magicel monsers, trigerd traps and spells wair the monsters; fite in combat, you can merg 2 or more monsters into 1, use youer spells to protekt youer monsters, aktavate traps to detroe other cards you both bigen with ether 2000 or 4000 or 8000 LP/life ponts you are to detroe oponet's spells traps and monster and atak the oponet with your monsters spells and traps so wen you have 0 LP left you loos a "duel" takes 3 rounds; all 3 rounds draw it's a draw,2 draws and one win you win, 2 wins you win you can quwit on youer tern by plating youer hand on youer deck and sins its puer stradagising you can gamebel in this game.

its a trading card game, the point is to collect as many cards as u can then gather those that u like and those that are powerfull so that u can create a dueling deck which ul use in tournaments, the game is based on a tv show named yugioh, they released yugioh gx a while ago so they braught new cards, they just keep on making them I guess, I have assembled a dueling deck of my own, its about spellcasters (magicians) and I have won many tournaments with it, and its just keeps on getting better if u want more info go to www.yugioh-card.com

yugioh is a calectabul card game and the more atk ponts youer monsters have the stronger they are but the best thing to do is to stradagise, with some atk and def yet you shuld use spells and traps that destroes other cards and protecs other cards.
