My hamster does!! I hope he's not sick. I just posted another question kind of related. Ive just been watching him closely b/c I know that their immune systems are so fragile. Do you're hamsters sleep all day long?

I do believe that hampsters are nocturnal. We had two hampsters, and they really didnt do anything but sleep. I wouldn't be too worried, unless you can't wake him up, or he stops eating or something. Until then, I think a lot of house pets sleep during the day because they have nothing better to do (like cats).

They are nocturnal. That is why we never kept them in the kids room. They slept all day while the kids were at school and then were up all night running in their wheel and rooting around while the kids were trying to get to sleep.

yes, they are nocternal, they're away in the evening, late night and early morning, my hamstgers kept me up all night, if you want you can try tp switch their internal clock so you can play with them without waking them up, at night place him in a bright lit room and during the day keep the lights turned off or low so he'll sleep at night and be away duing the day

Everyone is correct. Hampsters are nocturnal and you will not be able to change this. Big difference between hampsters and gerbils.
