The baby is just playing basketball in there. It's normal for preborn babies to get a hobby to pass the time until they can be born. Your first baby probably had a quieter hobby, like stamp collecting or something.

I knew my baby was coming early. She came a week and a half early.
I'm only 24 weeks and I've been having Braxton Hicks for quite a while now. It's only supposed to be a problem if you have more than four an hour (but if you have to go to the bathroom, make sure you do because a full bladder or bowel will give you a lot more of them. If you're having a lot of them go empty your bladder and see if they stop.)
If you've made it to term with one child and didn't have preterm labor your chances of having a premature baby are about 1 in 1000. I asked my doctor and that's what she said.

I've also had two babies. With the second one I had preterm labor and all sorts of problems and knew it, but still had her late! With the second one I had gall bladder disease and surgery and all sorts of weird problems, but I always "knew" she'd come early. They had to induce me a month early! Poor baby almost died.
BUT, I'll bet anything that you are experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. I had those like ALL the time! Especially with my first one because she was so active. When they're active it can set your body into these practice contractions.
The only time you have to worry about them is if you can't talk through them or if they're evenly spaced apart, like every 10 minutes or something, then call your OB or go right into labor and delivery so that they can stop you from coming early. We don't want a preemie baby!!

The following was found on www.babycenter.com
Call your doctor if you haven't reached 37 weeks and your contractions are becoming more frequent, rhythmic, or painful, or if you have any of these possible signs of preterm labor:
-Abdominal pain, menstrual-like cramping, or more than four contractions in an hour (even if they don't hurt).
-Any vaginal bleeding or spotting.
-An increase in vaginal discharge or a change in the type of discharge — if it becomes watery, mucousy, or bloody (even if it's only pink or blood-tinged).
-Increased pelvic pressure (a feeling that your baby's pushing down).
-Low back pain, especially if it's a new problem for you.
If you're past 37 weeks, there's no need to call your doctor or midwife until your contractions last 60 seconds each and are five minutes apart, unless your doctor has advised you otherwise.
I hope this helps you. Click the link below for more info on Braxton Hicks contractions.

That's Braxton Hicks. I had them ALL THE TIME when I was pregnant. My husband and I used to laugh at how hard my stomach used to get. It was like a big rock. I didn't go into early labor--he was born just 2 days before his due date.

Yes thats braxton hicks. I first got them with my son when I was 24 weeks. My stomach would get soo hard that it would feel uncomfortable and hard for me to catch my breath. Everything was fine though,my doctor checked on them every visit. I had them up until labor and sometimes they even got more current during the day. I gave birth to my son at 41 weeks. Good luck!

It could be Braxton Hicks, but some people get those during the second trimester. They do say second and subsequent children are often early, but I wouldn't worry about going this early unless you're having other symptoms.

B&H, you are right. You may not have noticed it as much during your first pregnancy but in subsequent pregnancies it becomes more noticable and tends to start sooner. This has been the case with each of my pregnancies. The first B&H started close to the last month, with the second I was in my 4th or 5th month, and this one I noticed them practically from the beginning. The uterus stretches earlier with each pregnancy as well.

What you are feeling is normal. It could be Braxton Hicks or it could just be the baby that you are feeling.

i am 30 weeks preg with my 3 and i have bh all the time.i asked my doc why and she said they are more noticible in 2, 3 and so on pregnancies.as long as you are sure they are bh then its ok. what causes contractions can be a good thing to know cause you can stop them before they get to bad.movement helps sometimes,if you havent ate in a while this can bring on contractions, and staying hydrated will help them to stop as well.i know im not going to make it to my due date which is feb 7!!i just hope i dont have her on my sons bday on jan 16!!but who knows i might go past my due date and you might too!!good luck!!
