Is there somewhere to find a diagram for all the sensor locations on an 87 chevy celebrity? Thanks

I am trying to find the crank shaft sensor. I have been told to find the problem with my car that I will have to replace sensors until I find the one that is bad.

My car idles way to high and almost feels like it is surging. It can go 20-25 mph without touching the gas. It has starting using triple the gas that it normally does. It runs good sometimes but will start surging after running for a short time.

Thanks

emissions on an 87....?? What sensors are you looking for? Oil psi, water temp? Your question is to general. I'd go to my local library, they have a huge selection of auto manuals there, if you cant find one for your car, use a truck one that has the same engine in it. Might cost ya 10 cents a page if you want to copy something out of it. Chilton's or Haynes manuals are like 15 bucks at your local auto parts stores. If not, a call to your local Chevy dealer, and I'd bet the service technician there could help you out.

difficult subject with the education you gave, i desire to declare deliver it over and shall we've a seem, yet this is not functional. Is it carberated or gas injected. i've got faith that a variety of of of your ignition modules is the two no longer working or the plug wires are put in incorrectly. in case you haven't any longer have been given one, purchase a Chilton's instruction manual for that motor vehicle, they're approximately $20 and mutually as no longer ideal, they're nicely worth their weight in gold for stuff like this. Retrace your steps taken because of the fact the 1st subject arose, examine that each thing replace into wisely attached, somewhat examine if any vacuum strains are off or broken. the vacuum strains i'm conversing approximately are made up of one million/8" black plastic, you will see them working in all places under the hood. one among them could have been broken whilst the plugs have been replaced they get very brittle with age. Our motor vehicle is a year extra moderen than yours and this replace right into a topic i chanced on merely the former day. in case you have get right of entry to to a code reader, plug it in and it will keep you hours and hours of frustration and sleepless nights.

Your governor is probably set to high, I don't know where it is on a chevy but if you get a Haynes car manual i'm sure it will tell you.
