How do I remove the play from a non-power steering? Its on a sand rail, probably vw parts.?

There is a NUT on top of the steering box that you loosen, then you tighten the Center Bolt. It has either an Allen slot or a screwdriver slot on the center bolt. Once the play is adjusted out, you hold the center bolt and re-tighten the Nut to lock it in place.
Very easy to do.
