i did not realize they grew tobacco in Scotland!

the pubs will take a hit for sure. a smoking ban is trifling compared to a drinking ban. imagine that in scotland. anarchy. dogs and cats living together.

suddenly the smoking ban doesn't seem as bad

People will have more money to spend on other things and bussiness people who sell cigarrettes will lose all earnings on them. People will stay addicted if they dont find help so they will buy cigarrettes in secret just like America's prohibition era in the 1920's. People would drink beer even though it was illegal to have and drink beer and liqour.
