Flushotquestion?
my 10 month old got his flushot 9th november. doctor said, next is due 9th december. now we will travel before the 9th december.
is it ok to get him the flushot before. whats the reason for waiting 1 month or is it ok to get it before???

The one month interval between doses is to allow the immune reaction to develop before adding the second dose so the second dose can act fully as a booster. You could shorten that interval to 24 days with out hurting the final response in any important way. If you have to, you probably could get away with the interval being 22 days, although the booster effect will be dampened a bit. Anything shorter than 22 days and you run the possiblity of not getting the booster doses priovide high enough protection. Without the booster effect of the second dose there may not be enough protection provided.

Nope! I tried it with my four year old... we were leaving and I needed him to get it 3 days before the 30 day period. They can have it after the 30 day period, but not one day before it!
