If the problem is in the bottom of your back (the lumbar region), then you need to strengthen your abdominal muscles, forming a natural corset!
Her's how:
Lie on the floor on your back. Stick your tummy in, and hold it in while you do the following exercises.
Raise one leg high, lower it to a few inches off the floor, hold it fo a while. Repeat with the other leg. Now do the same with both legs together. - Lots of other such exercises, but as you force that way while holding your tummy in, that will do wonders for those abdominal muscles that help hold your back in place.
I did it - under supervision, a number of years ago, and it worked wonders. Problem is, I don't have the self-discipline to keep it up! However lately I tried it again for a few days, and was very effective.
Personally, I don't recommend a chiropractor - both from my experience and what I've seen in others - they call it "soft medecine" but I see nothing soft about it. You spend a whole lot of money on a long series of treatments of questionable value, and may end up worse than when you started. The exception is when the chiro does other things than crack your vertebra.
I realize this sounds offensive for some, I'm not infallible, but that is what I've gathered from my experience.

Try "acupuncture" it worked wonders for me. I have never had the pain return. I had spent hours in agony and hundreds of dollars at the Chiropractor's office and it was getting worse. After one treatment of acupuncture, I could bend over and tie my shoes. After 3 treatments the pain for gone and has NEVER returned, and that was 10-years ago. And let me tell you the pain was so bad, that I couldn't put my jeans on without help,I couldn't bend at all, and trying to do my "business" - well as I said, I couldn't bend... and I am without pain to this day...

When my lower back starts feeling sore, I do stretches specifically for the back. That always fixes the problem, for me. Massages are great, too.

Your elaborate explanation leaves one with little to go on, to generate any idea of what to do.. If you were a bit more specific, you would get more helpful and specific responses..

place a thin piece of plywood on your mattress to keep your spine straight and well-aligned while you sleep. it may take a few nights to get used to the stiffness, but you'll wake up feeling good.
