Arnie Morton's steakhouse. I recall that theirs was superb.

Lawry's Prime Rib on La Cinenega

If you're ever in Orange County, I would strongly recommend Five Crowns on PCH in Corona del Mar. I actually think it's part of Lawry's... The best prime rib and great ambience...a lot more cozy than Lawry's. A close second, and probably comparable to Lawry's, would be Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

Hope this is helpful!

Alan,

Lawry's has the BEST prime rib I have ever tasted. Lawty's Prime Rib Restaurant is located on La Cienega (east) and Wilshire (south).

Valet parking.

Make sure you are hungry, or else it will be a waste.

I have tried several others, like The Stinkin Rose (across the street) and nothing compares to Lawrys.

I would recommend two others.

The Tam O' Shanter Inn in Los Feliz... also by the same company as Lawry's, but this one came first.

and The Pacific Dining Car in Santa Monica... So elegant!

I hope you enjoy your dinner!

My favorite bar none is Houston's in Santa Monica. There's also a Houston's in Irvine. They have the most succulent prime rib, and their cesar salads are to die for. The service is top notch.

Tam O'Shanter's on Los Feliz. It preceeded Lawry's and IMHO is better.

Gullivers in Irvine is excellent. Its about 45 miles south of L.A. though.
