This makes me so mad when some Black men do this. I used to date a very sexy guy for 2 years and he was Latino and were very deeply in love. But I got so much hate from a lot of Black guys in my neighborhood and they keep on saying "why are you trying to sell out" and it really got me mad when one of them had told my boyfriend that I was only after his money and I wanted kids with good hair. So not true, I love him with all my heart and he volunteered to pay for a lot of my stuff and I never want any kids I'm 16.These guys even tried to jump my boyfriend when he was taking me out to trian station to go to the mall. Most of these Black guys who keep saying these things have dated non-black women and have talked trash about how black women aren't this or that. I date a man not because of his color but because of his love for me. Why are there so many double statandrads in the Black community when a Black woman dates interracially?

I was even dissapointed when my family made some racsit remarks about my sweetie and my aunt had said"use extra protection becuase their kind is fertile and we don't want you to have any mexican kids running around. Ugh! First of all he was Colombian and Salvadorian and he and I barely even had sex!

Because those boys are jealous and insecure. Pay them no mind and date whomever you want. Personally, I think that 16 is a bit young to be receiving gifts (other than minor tokens) from a boy, but that's an issue for you and your parents.

The idea that women"belong" to the men of a particular group is hardly new or unique to black men. When I was in high school, one of my friends was dating a white girl and he had to deal with some of the same nonsense from white boys.

It's a tired old idea and the truth is that with more and more black women taking care of their business and doing well, more are going to date inter racially.

Do you know how many bad looks & rediculous comments I received while I was married to my ex ... he's a black man and let me tell you ... black women ( most ) make it a huge deal when other races " steal " all their " good " black men ... I think it's all rubbish & agree with you ... we date the person for who they are and how they treat us ... there's double standards everywhere ... I never had any problems - as I would just ignore them and move on with my business ... you're still young & the boys are just jealous since you're not dating them ... don't worry about your family either ... as long as you're happy they'll come around ... continue being a good person and good things will come to you ... !

Wow. They are just ignorant. But there is not a double standard, black men who date white women catch hell too. Love is love but haters will always hate.

Okay, those BOYS are just jealous and you should ignore them. They are upset that you would rather don't someone else that is not them, and just use race as an excuse to hate, ignore them and continue loving your Latino boyfriend. Good luck!

When you're old enough, you can move out and get away from those racists. They've been listening to that racist Jesse Jackson for far too long.
