India has three seasons:
Summer - from March to June
Rainy - from June to October
Winter - from November to March
This may vary slightly due to vast geographical size. While the heat is unbearable in the Gangetic plain, the people of Ladakh shiver in the snowy cold.
Summer
North India is near Tropic of Cancer so summer is more hot compared to South India. The temperature ranges from 40 degrees Centigrade to 30 degrees Centigrade. In some parts such as Rajashthan, the temperature goes as high as 50 degrees Centigrade. The hottest month is April and May. During these period, there is vacation in schools and colleages. People travel a lot to the hill stations during these period.
Monsoon
The southwest monsoon divides into two branches, the Bay of Bengal branch and the Arabian Sea branch. Arabian Sea Branch is three times stronger than Bay of Bengal branch. South India receives more rainfall than North India.
The Northwest monsoon starts in November. Tamil Nadu receives rainfall due to Northwest monsoon.
Winter
Winter falls during the month of September. The temperature ranges from 35 to 30 in India. December and January are typically the coldest months with mean temperatures of 10 to 15°C in the northwest and the Himalayan region. In Southern India, inner Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and some parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh experience cooler weather.

Yes the climate of India is changing. We don't get heavy rains or rains nowadays. Scientists says that 2009 is the driest year compared to other years. Now we feel that it is very sunny and hot even in winters. This is all because of global warming. So, try to avoid plastics. Grow more trees. Don't burn waste just reuse, reduce and recycle them.
