at first the sqirrel do what squirrls do run hide but ill show him im not guna hurt it thengive it the food then fat it up then name it fred then talk to it even thought he doent understand a word then when its not looking smack it with a rock kill it skin it use the furas a hat and use its blood and flesh as bait for shark bait and fish and other animals in the forest

I'd talk to it. You can only get to use it once otherwise and squirrel is like eating crabs - you need enough to make a difference. If it got friendly enough you could possibly get some tail fur for fly fishing lures or for a paint brush. It might help you find safe nuts and berries to eat by following it.

make friends with it. they can get into places that i might have trouble with and find food that they would share with me, their friend. i would make friends by talking with it, and that would provide intellectual stimulation (my friends have always said i am a bit squirrely). eating it would end all choices after that, and not really polite, neither is ignoring
