Hello Barry T, this will be a good thing, as the surplus taxpayers money will be invested between England, Wales & Northern Ireland & the Scots can fund their own country,but do not feel left out as Wales are creating their own government & Northern Ireland are creating the Northern Assemberly, so we will all be in the same boat before long.

Scotland will never be ripped apart from the Union, some nationalists may want that.

I am telling you now, Scotland will be devastated if it is ripped apart from the rest of the UK. Scotland relies heavily on the the whole of the UK, The young Scottish people are sadly moving away from Scotland, which means Scotland is aging fast.

There hasn't been an empire for quite some time. Read some WWI history. Plus, the queen will still be Queen of Scotland-her family joined with the Stuarts, wasn't it?

Maybe not good for England but it certainly would be for Scotland. I see it as a beginning not an end. At last Scotland will not have to be ruled by people who have never set foot on this side of border.

no no no it most certainly is not we should have never given Independence to any of our empire. England is not the great country it used to be . we have all let our island down by laying down and taking all the s--t everyone dishes out to use

Why "little" England - we have a population of over 50 million unlike our northern neighbour whose population is falling below 5 million! In a few years time they will be looking for food parcels!
