The Momma Rabbit lost all 4 of the babies due to cold weather. Can you keep the babies outside when it is really cold or should we bring the babies inside when is it really cold??

The doe does need have a proper nesting box for her kits. I kept all my rabbits in the barn and they did just fine all winter long. Here is one site on rabbits.

Do you live in Florida or Yukon Territory? Makes a big difference. Unfortunately, Momma rabbits often do not nurse their young, thus they die. Unless the temp was well below freezing, I doubt the weather had any part in their deaths. Did the mother use a lot of her own fur to make a nest? If not, they may have died due to the weather but she is to blame. Depending on the breed, 4 bunnies is a small litter, could be a sign of a problem. It is normal for a Doe to have a small litter and fail to take care of the litter the first time. For some reason, usually no problem the second time. Try again and good luck. The male rabbit will agree that you should try again.
If it there is a chance of temps <20F, then the rabbits need an enclosure to protect from cold, especially from the wind. Also give them some straw to help them make bedding. If they have a wooden box and are used to being outside, then they can tolerate temps < 20 below. Heat is their bigger threat.

best thing ta do wen a female rabbit has babies is ta get up durin the nite ta make sure there r no babies out of the nest. the mums only feed the babies once a day and u can get sum that stay latched on n get dragged outta the nest by the mum and they then get cold and die as the mum will not put baby bk. another thing ta do if u gnna b breedin from her reg is wen ya groom her keep loose fur in a bag and then wen she has the babies u can re rub fur over her and add it to the nest for extra warmth. for more info go to www.lecoeurrabbitrescue.co.uk

If your pet is use to the cold they should be OK, but at very cold temperatures you pets should at least be moved to the garage. The news tells you (at least in my area) when you should bring in your pets. Baby animals are delicate and need to have good shelter.

if you already had her lose babies due to cold weather then the risk isnt exactly on your side.
