First is to visit the local Salvation Army Site nearest your home -- look them up and ask if they will be able to help you at Christmastime -- they usually post this information in the local newspaper.

Second: IF you are Military (and by posting in Holidays -- I am assuming you are not) -- then use the Military Family Services on Post-- after all, it is DEFINITELY TRUE that the Military takes care of its own (and I am Retired Military -- so I KNOW that this is TRUE).

Third: Walk into your local Wal-Mart and see who the SPONSOR is who placed the Angel Tree in the Wal-Mart in the first place. It is easy to tell -- they have signs in place, requesting sponsorship of the children on the Angel Tree. Then CALL that organization and see if they can't help you out.

HOWEVER ... for all these programs ... you are going to need to fill out paperwork, and it WILL include some personal questions on your family's financial status. That information is what they need to determine REAL NEED -- so BE HONEST about the information, and fill it out to the best of your ability.
