Alterations can really add to the total cost. I think it is ok, but would probably go for something a little more fitted and lose the bow. Since I don't know your age, this dress looks like a teen girl, not a woman. You are a size 8, find something that fits without alterations.

I'm sure it could be altered. You could just take it to a local altering shop. That's funny that they're dress sized begin at 10, since the model featured wearing the dress does not look bigger than a size 0!

The con to getting this dress altered might be that it will cost you just as much to alter it as to initially buy it.

That's a beautiful dress. You have good taste. I'm sure the dress could be taken in easily on the sides quickly by ANYONE who knows how to sew- and there's tons of time to get it done before Christmas. Also, sizing runs differently and you might not even need to alter it... but do get it. It's really gorgeous.

It is a very cute dress, I love the style, but am not in love with the color. Different shoes would also be a must. The dress should be able to be altered.

I think it could be or you could find a different dress unless you had your heart ste on wearing this dres for Christmas. By the way I visited the UK because my dad swam the English Channel and i loved it!

No, don't do that, get a dress that fits you, you really need to wear some thing that fit you, with a size 8

I think it's beautiful but for a bridesmaid. Sorry.

There's an amazing party dress in Karen Millen available in size 8 - new stock which has butterfly design in 2 colours, matching bag/shoes.
It's gorgeous. Did you see Leona - X-Factor Sat she wore it.

I am a seamstress, and yes, the dress could be altered as long as the neckline is fitting!
