We still have troops in Germany, South Korea, Philippines, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and numerous other countries. WWII has been over since the mid 1940s. It's called strategic positioning. Removing our troops from that area puts us at a great disadvantage strategically. I don't know why people have a hard time understanding that there are people/groups who don't like the United States of America and are looking for opportunities for our defeat.

The US is there for a bigger reason than Iraq or WMD. We want and a Base of Operations in the Middle East. Iran, Syria Bin Laden and others have started a full blown war the likes we have never seen before. There is no withdrawing from Iraq. Wait and see. Pelosi and company will soon realize that this is far uglier than they ever dreamed and that we did not start it. Iraq is simply a buffer and an excuse for having a Base. Losing 2,000 + troops is very sad but an acceptable loses compared to having the war come here now. It is coming. It is here and we are at war like it or not. I don't like it. We are trying to nip this weed now but this will be a multi-generational war with loses exceading that of WW Two. The native are restless and poor and want we have. they do not have it and never will and are going to die so that we do not haave the good life either. That is their will.

We should of never been there in the first place, but since we are we have to have to set a time limit. The borders should of been secured at the get go, now we have a civil war. How do we respond? If we leave now, without having a government who can handle this terrible out of control situation, I feel our men and women who served there would of died in vain. We can send more troops, secure the borders, and continue to train the government and military of Iraq. But without a time table to leave then this could continue indefinitely. We must set a time to leave and stick to that. If the Iraq government can see we won't always be there perhaps they will take the responsibility for there own country. However this almost doesn't seem fair as it is not there fault there country is now soooo out of control. But we have to think of our men and women and get them home as quickly as possible, God Bless them all!!!

clinton lied but nobody died? what about the embassy bombings in africa? or the U.S.S. cole bombing? this war is leftover from clintons years he dident do anything but sit back and get BJs you need to do some research, also if we could let the military do their job this thing would have been over by now, all the politics at home has our troops standing on street corners waiting to get killed its a joke it reminds me of vietnam same thing killed our boys POLITICS AT HOME and now the democrats want to start pulling out troops slowly thats gonna increase the death toll they either need to let our boys finish the job or pull them out completly at once we cant leave small forces there they will get killed, and it is a job there is no draft unlike vietnam where there was a draft and kids had no choice but these kids do have a choice they joined the military for what ever reason they joined and when the president asks for military support it is their job to fight so people like you have the right to free speech and to sit and complain about it maybe if your kind were supporting them and the military action this would have been over by now and they would be at home with their familys and friends....but hey you have bill clinton and the democrats to thank for that im neither democrat or republican im an american that means i support our troops and love my country

What about the people on the Cole, numerous US embassies, WTC 1? Remember the debacle in Somalia. If it is true that Clinton did not give the OK to kill Osama when he had the chance, then there are 3000 more peoples blood on his hands!
No, we should not leave until the Iraqi's take over. They say June of 2007. We should pull our troops out June 30, 2007.

Only when the country is secure
Bush didn't lie Clinton did and under oath at that
everyone agreed with the info Bush had before going into Iraq
The cowards changed their minds when things got a little tough
Defeatacrats only have hate for Bush because they lost the 2000 and 2004 elections
they have no loyalty for the USA and cut and run and hide is their motto

Agnostic i think of we could continuously loudly pull out right this moment, jointly as privately asking the Iraqi government to publicly ask for tips. Then we could continuously enable some troops to proceed to be with a blended U.N. rigidity below joint U.N./ Iraqi management to "help" in policing. the huge benefit would be that the U.S. would no longer be pointed out because of the fact the only, or regularly occurring skill influencing the area regardless of the community government: quite, we would be helping a joint operation below nominal Iraqi management.

No, we need to send more troops to Iraq to get the situation under control. We never had enough troops in Iraq to start with.
