Why? $2,000.000 may be a lot of money but why give up your goals in life. You will most likely feel "empty" inside, later in your life, for giving up the chance of reaching your life goals. You will always know that you didn't accomplish what you wanted for your life. Even worse you didn't reach for those goals because of the greed for money. You will have no sense of self fulfillment. This will only make you feel sad inside. Possibly even depressed.
This is a perfect example of does money buy happiness and the answer is no.

I just want to be valedictorian... Well, I wanted to be valedictorian to see if I can get a scholarship to college, but the $2,000,000 will definitely pay for college so yes, I'll give that one up...
