Why all black? Add a colored necklace, perhaps Red, or green for the season? Silver, or gold toned earings? Does the belt have color to it? I'm sorry, I have some black shirts, skirts, jeans, etc. But I can't stand an all black outfit, too depressing. My mother just bought a new Little black dress, very beautiful. It has silver clasps on the shoulder straps, and rhinstones. Makes it more showy...

Im gonna be honest, I am not loving the long long skirt Idea, it seems kinda older. How old are you, if your under 40 Don't do it!!! I would suggest a shorter skirt to your knees with black hose and nice heels with the sweater, the long skirts just doesn't sound modern. Good Luck.

Maybe try going a little more casual. Even if it's a fancy restaurant, all that black is just a little too dressy! I'm sorry, but that's just how I feel. I say you should add a little more color! Live a little! You don't always have to be perfectly dressy. And you ARE going to a movie afterwards (or before-depends on your plans) so just kind of lighten it up a little. Save your REALLY nice clothes for a REALLY fancy date!

That's an awful lot of black. I think you should lighten things up a little bit with some color or a cream-colored sweater or blouse. Too much black, particularly around your face, can make you look really severe and doesn't always do a lot for your complexion. Soften things up and you'll look more feminine and approachable.

Sounds great so far. As a guy, I think I'd rather just see plain black stockings and heels; the textured stockings and boots to me might seem a little too much - keep it simple.

Wear a smile - that's the best part. :-)

Good luck.

what if he pulls up in his car to greet you -

everyone is watching you from the window -

such elegance usually reserved for the emmy awards.
everyone is admiring how stunning you look -

and as you are walking toward his car - he look s at you and says, just want you to know that I'm not gentleman - and I am not agreeing to spend a cent on you unless you agree to sleep with me first.

do you contineu to go out with him - or tell him forget and turn around and walk back into your house and have to answer to everyone there

What's with all the black? Put in some color to highlight your eyes, make up, and smile.
