No Israel is not always right. They claim to just defend themselves and this is far from the truth. Look at media coverage that is not from the US. The invasion of Lebanon recently Israel invaded that country because two Israeli soldiers were kidnapped. The Israeli soldiers were illegally inside of Lebanon, but they dont mention that in the US. Israeli has kidnapped hundreds of Palestinian leaders, democratically elected leaders and put them in jail for no cause, they crossed into Palestine and took these people from their homes. There are reasons the arab countries hate Israel and it isnt that stupid line they hate the jews. Jews are not Israelis, "Jews" are people who practice Judaism. Israelis are the people who live in Israel.

Unjustly is an interesting word. The US has killed thousands of Iraqis in a war that the US had been found to have no interest in initiating. That is, to be plain, Iraq had no responsibility for 9/11, and no group asked us to rescue their nation from the despicable Saddam. That could be considered unjust.
The Arab world, by contrast has for the most part made it a part of their existence to state that Israel is to be eliminated, wiped off the face of the map, and the inhabitants of the country pushed into the sea, not one Jew standing. With that understanding, the question isn't really right or wrong, its survival. Do they, should they, wait to parse out the finer meanings and shades of diplomacy, or do they strike first and ask questions later.
Its their existence.
They do what they feel they have to.

They're a nation made up of human beings (despite what the idiots say) and as such, they make mistakes like anyone. Imagine living in a country the size of Florida, surrounded by nations and factions who want to see your entire society wiped off the planet. They have on occasion over reacted. Overall though, I think they have shown remarkable restraint. I have seen cases where if I had been the PM, things would have been vastly different. Of course I believe that if you are going to go to war, you GO TO WAR. Pull out the stops and overwhelm your enemy. But don't lose it over the little things.

well that is not the exact answer , because the obvious answer is that israel was planted in the middle of muslim/arab world illigally , so it is doing every evil to keep the lands it stolen , still stealing , and will steal to expand in the future .
for example here is a video about the israeli's war with hizbullah last summer , and it is by a western intellectual , i believe it will help :

Depends on your perspective.
Personally, I believe they have a right to exist and therefore have the right to fight back against those who have sworn to wipe them from the face of the Earth.
But then I would not hesitate to shoot back at someone shooting at me in my house either.
I know, I'm insensitive. Sorry.
