They've only been dating for one month, and they ran off together? Your niece is going to end up back home with a broken heart.

Try talking maybe, trying to stop them won't work. I or the other will have to come to the realization that they are too young and don't know each other well enough. If you are close to your niece then try telling her how you feel, if she still insists this is what they are going to do. Then all you can do is be there when those pieces fall apart. Honestly, being supportive at this point is all you have. They are of legal age to get married without consent, do I think they are making a wise decision "no" pregnant or not. But they do, be supportive if nothing else.

You are right. All you can do is offer them the truth of what is going on. They probably will not listen, and your job is over, and you will never experience guilt. Most people have to learn these lessons the hard way. In reality, how many Las Vegas weddings were made in heaven?

They are legally old enough to make this choice, AND you should try to stop them. Don't try to restrain them physically, or slash their tires, or anything, but do try to talk some sense into them. Be nice about it, tell your niece you love her, and be assertive about stating your opinion without yelling or being aggressive about the situation.

What are you going to do to stop this? She's 18, she can do whatever she wants. People have got to make their own mistakes to learn from them. Let it be, hope for the best for your neice, and be there if it falls apart.

You are right, they are too young for this, but legally able to make their own stupid decisions. You do not have to agree with what they've done, but it's important to not be condemning in your relationship with her. You never know what's in the future and if she needs a safe place to go, you'll want to be available.

You live and you learn. Sometimes we have to make our own mistakes to figure it out...so just let her be. She is old enough and there is nothing you can do at this point.

you should definitly say something to your niece. She's pregnant? she seems a little too young. Don't feel like your butting into her life if you think she has made a wrong decision. I also think he's a little too old if they dated longer and she was older it wouldn't be a problem.

She's old enough to make her own decisions. Your job is to pray that she doesn't screw her life up beyond repair. If it weren't for our mistakes, we wouldn't know how to do things right.

Of course your right but there is nothing you can do. They are of legal age. People have to learn from their own mistakes unfortunately.
