The fact is, even though we have not been attacked since the "War on Terror" began, only a fool would not recognize that our nation is more vulnerable to attacks than ever before.
With most insurgents and terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan being uncontained, it is actually a wonder that there have been no attacks yet.
Our government can't even seem to do anything productive for the defense of this country, let alone offense.
Bush's incompetence is leading to the high possibility of another 9/11...but even worse this time!

You are correct. Instead of a foolish Middle East Adventure, we could have invested money to secure our ports and make sure that containers are properly searched, we could be investing in enough baggage screening machines to do the job at every major international airport in the country, we could have already built the wall between the US and Mexico, and we could install the new "sniffer" capable stoplights available from such companies as Optisoft.

But no...instead our government wants to spread freedom to people who singularly don't deserve it.

Someday our Administration will remember they represent the American people.

Just because we haven't been openly attacked again does not mean that it can't, or won't. They are probably lying low, regrouping, planning. There haven't been any attacks on US soil, but there have been attacks in European countries.
I agree that if Bush does have any working brain cells, he is not using one of them. As he skips around the world, he never fails to draw hostility. Yes, I too see that possibility. I hope I'm wrong.

it has lowered the risks

the ones we are fighting now are local, they do not have the means for a 9/11 style attack.

better to fight them in the streets of baghdad then the streets of boston

and there will never be a plane flown into a building, now the passangers will wrestle control and crash it, like on United 93
