I would have to say Amy Lee from Evanescence...gourgeous voice
or I'd say the chick from Flyleaf...OMG! those screaming!!!! I wish I could do that!

Aretha Franklin, Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, Carly Simon, Dionne Warwick, Audra McDowell, Celine Dion and absolutely Maria Callas and I am also willing to include Mariah Carey.
However, I have a sneaking suspicion that you are way too young to have a clue as to what I am talking about. I bet you that you may be expecting examples like Brittney, Jessica Simpson and Christina. Among these three, Christina will be remembered.
