Question about getting pregnant READ MORE.....?

OK I WAS A DAY LATE FOR MY PERIOD SO TOOK A TEST AND IT WAS NEG--- SO WE HAD SEX AND NOW I STILL HAVE NOT STARTED 5 DAYS LATER SO MY QUESTION IS IF I WAS ABOUT TO START BUT GOT PREGNANT AT THAT TIME WOULD My PERIOD JUST NOT COME OR WOULD IT COME BUT NOT NEXT Mo sence it was about to start anyways. Also has this happend to any ladies? just want to know if my period is really late or i got pregnant when i was about to start.

You could be pregnant but obviously, none of us know the answer to that question!!! Go to walmart, buy a test, and pee on the stick!!!!!!!

Sometimes there isn't enough of the pregnancy hormone to be detected on a pregancy test that soon to missing your period (it depends on the brand of pregnancy test. - with some you can check before you are due for your period and with others you have to wait until AFTER you miss it to take the test) You most likely did NOT get pregnant when you thought you should have started. If anything you were already pregnant at that time. The best thing for you to do is to retake the test. If it is negative again there may be other reasons why your period is late. Sometimes stress, not enough sleep or a poor diet can be the cause, but sometimes there are more serious problems. If you don't get your period soon and the repeat pregnancy test is negative I suggest you talk to your doctor.

Have you always had a regular period? If you are pregnant you wont get your period. But you could also just be late. Only way to know for sure is either get 1 of the pregnancy tests that can tell you within days if you are or get a blood test done. A late period can be a sign of other things also. I had an ovarian cyst when i thought i was pregnant 2 years ago.

you can only get pregnant when you are ovulating, which is typically 14 days after the first day of your period. so if you had sex within that time you could be pregnant. wait a few more days and take another test. try not to stress about it because that can make your period later too. if you still don't get your period and miss 2 cycles and the tests are still negative as your doctor for a blood test.

Anytime there's a possibility u can get prego take a plan b pill..don't always wait for your period b/c a period is nothing anything can stop a period ...stress and stuff like that but the prego hormone won't be there for you to take a test until maybe about 3-4 wks ..but first response prego tset can detect it 5 or 6 days after u miss ur period so just decide b/c u can always do that one today.

This has happened to me...you can be late due to many many many everyday things (i.e. stress, diet and health, sleep...) You are at a higher risk to get pregnant right before your period starts however if you missed it and became preg. right as your period should of started, i would think there would be some spotting or something...i could be wrong seeing as i have not been pregnant before....but mine is pretty regular and came about 9 days late due to stress :) (and coming late does not help the "Stress" issue).. best of luck to ya!

I would suggest you take another test. You could possibly be pregnant and when you took the first test there might not have been enough of the HCG hormone in your system for it to be picked up by the test. You should use your first morning urine since it is the most concentrated.

Well, I would take the test again, there is a chance that it was wrong, or you should wait for 5 more days, because it should only last for 10, i wouldnt worry about it

if you are pregnant, it would not be from the sex after the day late sex, it would be from having sex that 2 weeks earlier when you ovulated. call your doctor and take a blood test.
