NO! We must continue to assist Israel and if we are going to abandon anyone it should be the radical Asian and Arab countries that hate us.

Absolutely not.

For starters, that makes the assumption that abadoning Israel will result is "getting along" with Arab nations. In fact, there are numerous indications that this would not happen.
It also makes the assumption that the US should have "getting along with Arab nations" as an actual goal. Who says that this should neccesarily be the case?

Also, in doing so, it sets up the USA in a very bad position. And that is a position where it can be manipulated. Because, if other nations realize that America will bend its goals and its views just so it can get along with others then that can apply to anything they wish.
Its playground politics. "Do this or don't do this, otherwise I won't be your friend."
Rather, we should have it the other way around.
Instead of America abadoning Israel, how about the Arab nations abadoning their position on Israel in order to get alnog with the USA?

The United States government does not always do a good job in choosing its allies, and Israel is perhaps the worst choice of them all. The United States NEVER should have backed Israel. In 1948, the USA helped a bunch of Zionist bandits carry out a conquest that would otherwise have failed. And how was America repaid? By nearly continuous treachery by their middle eastern beneficiary.

Israel has made sneak attacks on US Navy ships under false flags. Israel has conducted massive espionage operations against the United States. Israel has corrupted the politics of the United States. Israel has been looting the treasury of the United States for more than 50 years. Israel has padded its income by selling military secrets and technology, which the US goverment shared with them, to both the Soviet Union and communist China. Israel has given refuge to vicious criminals, including child pornographers and murderers, who are wanted in the United States and refuses to extradite them back to the US for trial because the offenders are Jews.

Israel, and it's fifth column (otherwise known as international high finance and the mass media) control the United States government in the sense that the elected officials are afraid to oppose them. Israel's fellow travellers control most of the publishing houses in the United States, and, those who are not under Jewish control are nonetheless subject to pressure by Jewish organizations such as the ADL.

America should abandon Israel, but there comes a point of no return and a place which is past all forgiveness, and the US government is beyond that point.

hi, exciting question. The prompt answer might want to be 'no'. u . s . received't abandon Israel. besides, i'm no longer constructive about your assumption that maximum students in the united states are anti - Israel and professional - palestine. the wonder in the united states is the variety of the inhabitants, because the united states is a rustic of immigrants. there's a huge Arab / Muslim inhabitants that likely helps the Palestinians, and there's a Jewish inhabitants that likely helps Israel. If we inspect something else of the inhabitants, commonly, i do no longer believe there is overwhelming help for the Palestinians, in very actuality, i truly believe there is better help for Israel. individuals do no longer ignore that Palestinians celebrated after the September eleven attacks and the immortal actuality of former President bill Clinton that Arafat, former president of the Palestinians, change into the only which did not took the beneficiant peace provide from former Israeli best Minister Ehud Barak. besides, the relationship of the united states and Israel is solid, lengthy-status and unbreakable. u . s . change into in protecting with Christian ??- Jewish values. colleges rejoice Jewish and Christian holidays. the relationship of the united states and Israel is diverse: Economically - there are tens of 1000's of Israeli engineers in the Silicon Valley; Militarily - intelligence sharing on an universal foundation and sharing of militia technologies and far much better. i imagine the united states truly believe in the righteousness of Israel's way and hence received't abandon her.

NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Israel is the apple of God's eye & all are supposed to pray for the peace (Psalm 122). I don't support abandoning Israel to join the Arab Nations--America is free because of God's blessing on a mostly Christian nation.

It would be very dangerous to abandon Israel!!

The tie between the USA and Israel is much deeper than you can fathom. The only way the USA is going to abandon Israel is if we as a country fall.

No, "those" arabs are terrorist (not all arabs just the terrorists) that is not what we stand for. Besides Israel is a democratic peacful nation when unprovoked. If we don't stand up for the little guy and give into the bullies how can we call ourselves a fair nation?

Other then interfering with political domestic affairs America should go for more active humanitarian work. There is a lot of need on this planet and those who have more should share with those who have less - something should be done to justify America´s pride of being the most powerful nation in the world. Is there pride in just showing power by causing war and pain?

America may not abandon Israel, but being mature superpowere we shall strike a balance. So US shall stop pampering state sponsored terrorism of Israel.Responsible superpower cannot support devastation caused by Israel in Lebnon taking Hezbollah threat as excuse.I think hezbollah was fighting on own soil so they got support from all religious groups of lebnon.do you know Lebnon was considered Switzerland of Middleeast up to 1976. & now were has Israeal taken it.So support Israeal with caustion,Israel is dragging US into neverending war with extremist to save its own ***.US needs to sacrifice evil desires of Israeal over its own national intreast. We cannot pay penalty of Israels blunders.
