what other inexpesive gift can I give to family & friends?

AGGGHHH! i found this awesome camera card thingy, it takes a picture but its really slim and everything so its like a christmas card that can take pictures...However it was labeled "For Her", along with a bunch of other stuff in a pile at the store...INCLUDING A PORTABLE TOOL KIT!. thats so stupid...

For women, I give soaps as a cheap gift. If you can find some nice ones that you can buy unpackaged and then wrap them yourself with a nice ribbon you can make a nice gift for just a few bucks. I buy Sappo Hill soaps for gifts. http://www.sappohill.com/
I'd check and see if you have a local brand that would make a nice gift.
