nope. we're fictious characters in an alien's film. we just think we're real. but wait. we think we're real, thinking is a concept for life forms, without life, nothing can think, therefore, i change my answer. Yes. Humans are real.

So we presuppose. Anti- realism has one very large problem. It speaks in a language, the normal understanding among humans, that presupposes reality. The question you posited does just that, the opposite being a real supposition; unreality.

A teacher of mine that I had in grade seven (secondary one) tried to convince me that we (humans) are not real, and that we only think we are because, according to him, 96% of our universe in unknown to us... :S talk about confusing!

Only as far as the limits of your own perception.
Actually, everything is an illusion.
I am real, but you, this computer, the dog at my feet are all just existential constructs. Sorry.

good question, but then, what is real? is anything we see, hear, touch, taste or smell real?nothing is real unless we want to believe it's real, or maybe we're only real because everything else wants to believe that we're real. who knows who or what is real, so called experts may think they no but i dont, i dont think anyone knows, i suppose that's the great mystery of life, or is it?

I just pinched myself, it hurt, I'm guessing yes.If your being totally existential and wondering if what we experience is actually the dream of some mythical being then I guess you'll never know until you wake up.

What? shut up, this is a philosiphy qustion not biology. As far as biologists are concerned if you can see it, smell it and do tests on it then its real.

A deeper question than it might first appear!
"real" - actually existing, not counterfeit or assumed, true, genuine, sincere, authentic etc., etc.
The answer is yes, no or sometimes!
One could write a book..........................
