My road is pretty smooth at this point in time. I try to stumble through the rocky parts without skinning my knees too much.
But any road, no matter how smooth is ever perfect. Some of us find the rough patches easier to go through than the smooth ones. It really is a matter of perception, isn't it!

My road is definitely unfished. I just recently ran into a saw horse blocking the road telling me I had to detour back. I'm thinking I'm going to sit here until the construction up ahead is finished. The way I see it, I've worked so hard on this road for so long.... to have to double back and start again would be such a waste. So I'm content to just sit and wait. I've had to climb major hills. The pavement became rocky...steep.... keeping traction without slipping backwards was quite hard. But once I peaked, the view was magnificent. In those cases.... my road was paved with experience and accomplishment. I then paved my road with daring risk and excitement as I flew downhill going a mile a minute! Once the road leveled off.... the scenery became sparse... the temperatures hot.... with no rest stop in site. The road was radiating such heat..... it made me wonder if I would boil under pressure. so I paved the road with perserverence and determination. However, once the road became narrow and snaked through the valley I realized that my road was paved with the unexpected. There was no telling what would be around each corner. Finally, the road spiraled around around until I realized that my road was now paved with ice that let me slip out of control. It was then that I navigated incorrectly and have now reached the detour ahead.
I refuse to believe that good intentions pave our way into hell. From what I've been told...... the only way to pave your way through a highway to hell is to close your mind to all possibilities but one. To open your mind.... is to open your eyes. To see... is to believe... to believe...... is to gain faith.... and faith will always be the foundation from which my road is created.

My road to hell is paved with speed bumps. I know I'm going there, I am just in no hurry to arrive. I've thrown in a few detours as well.

You've misinterpreted this quote. It really should say "The road to hell is paved with unfulfilled good intentions."

Does it go through Australia?
I have never really had good intentions, so I guess I am not hell bound.
