In my opinion, just because he may have good intentions, doesn't mean we shouldn't be upset with him for giving us the worst foreign policy fiasco since Vietnam.
I've noticed all diehard Bush fans seem to respect him just because they feel he is "trying his best". In reality, I do not even believe he is trying his best or he would have changed the course a long time ago as promised when he said "Sure, we need to change the course if the course is not working."
I think people need to face facts and just realize that he is too imcompetent to bring us to victory in Iraq.

Not to mention, he hasn't even accomplished anything productive in terms of defensive on the homefront.

Yes, although we have not been attacked since the "War on Terror" began...there has NEVER been a time in American history in which we have been more vulnerable to an attack.

No, it's not.
I think the leaders of our nation should be held to a higher standard. We look to them to lead us in a direction that is good for us. If that direction is flawed of fails, we must demand that the leader be responsible and then look at redirection... other options and put his personal goals aside.
'Trying your best' against terrorism is not acceptable... a mistake can cost 1000s of lives. And in this case, his mistake of invading Iraq, has created (from documentation within his own administration) more terrorists than ever before. 'Trying his best' has put us in MORE danger.

Well, you are safe, arn't you? If you like Bush because of his character, that is ok... he is probably a nice guy. I don't think anyone can truly determine if he is doing a good job or not. War is not a simple thing... with today's media no one could execute a perfect war. Remember, your perception of the situation is based only on what a very few people are reporting, and most of it is purely opinion.
Another way to look at this situation is to go back to when Bush claimed, "Mission Accomplished". The fact is, we defeated Iraq, we have already won the war and achieved our miliary objectives. Now we are there more on a peacekeeping mission... it would not be responsible to wipe out our enemy and not repair their infrastructure - of course, this is not going as well as planned... but war always yields its surprises.
Be proud of Bush, he has in fact kept you safe. History will tell if he in fact kept you safe over the long haul... usually events like these are the catylyst for major change - will it change for better or worse - that is yet to be decided. We cannot make that decision today. Just like a body gets a fever to get rid of an infection... the fever will either be sucessful or not, but you cannot know the answer until the fever runs its course.
Your question put another way... would you be proud of Todd Beamer who supposedly rushed the terrorists on United 93... he was couragous, but in the end his plane crashed... what would have happened if he did nothing? Are you proud of Todd Beamer?

It's obvious from your many anti-Bush postings that you don't like President Bush. That's O.K. We all have the right to our beliefs and even though I disagree with you I will fight to the death for your right to speak freely. Where I have a problem is the Bush-Haters refuse to acknowledge even when the man does something good. I'm not going to get into a peeing match with you, but please, President Bush is a good man. He is doing the best he can under very difficult circumstances. Instead of nitpicking everything Mr Bush might say or do, it might be in the best interests of this country to pull together and not air our dirty laundry for the whole world to see. It makes us look weak and divided. In two years we will have a new President and I just pray that this man or woman is treated with the respect and dignity the office of President is entitled to.

Mr Bush was elected as the leader of our country. That doesn't mean he has the power or ability to snap his fingers and everything will be right. Good intentions, yes are great, but everyone associated with him in the execution process must share the same goals and ideals. What happens is we are already a nation divided, not because of the terrorists or our president, but by each of us as individuals who are so eager to criticize others but unwilling to do anything ourselves. Our nation is GREAT and it will take us all to keep it that way. The president can not make a great nation, it's the people. Iraq may someday be without war, but it will be because the people there have banded together and determined as individuals to make it so.
God Bless America and God Bless our President.

I wonder why it is that having balls means you can be pigheaded wrong and incompetent and not listen to anyone who disagrees with you, and yet, still, feel proud that they are trying hard.
I'll take a flyer here and say Bush isn't standing on the shore with a gun in his hand, hes sleeping peacefully in his bed in a nice warm or cool house. Our house. The White House, and I expect him to more than try, I expect at the least...and thats the least mind you... capability.

I don't feel proud of him, although I did believe for awhile that he was trying to do his best, but then with all the scandals and the lies about Iraq, I don't believe anything about him anymore except that he's incompetant and should be impeached for lying to the people about what they knew about the WMDs in Iraq.

THAT IS YOUR OPINION AND YOUR IN TITLED.
HOW IS HE TRYING TO KEEP US SAFE ? WE HAVE NOT HAD ANOTHER TERROR ATTACK ON U.S. SOIL SINCE 9/11. THAT SOUNDS PRETTY SAFE TO ME. FOREIGN POLICY IS THE PROBLEM OF THE FOREIGNER WE GOT WHAT WE NEED THEY JUST HAVE TO HANDLE WHAT WE DO. IF THE WORLD DOESN'T LIKE WHAT IS HAPPENING OR HOW WE DISPENSE OUR FOREIGN POLICY ( $$$$ ) IT'S TOO BAD. THEY JUST HAVE TO GO TO THE COMPLAINT DEPT. AND TAKE A NUMBER . AMERICA AND AMERICANS COME BEFORE ANY FOREIGN POLICY.
IF WERE "vulnerable" LIKE YOU CLAIM WHY HAVEN'T THE TERRORIST TAKEN ADVANTAGE. YOU WILL AGREE THAT THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF VULNERABLE SITUATIONS. IT'S BECAUSE THEY CAN'T THEY ARE BEING HOUNDED AROUND THE GLOBE.

Well besides the war on terror,He's had a continuous battle with the DEFEATOCRATS. Although he ignores most of their BS. It would be nice if they all would work together on the problems we face. Doesn't matter what he does,He's wrong. I'm sick of paying them to whine and gripe.
Can you imagine if gore would of been elected or kerry,We would be world of crap!

Once again, you spew nothing but your own OPINION. You have no facts, only hatred of Bush.
If you could get over your blind, irrational hatred, you would be a happier, more informed person.

I am proud of him no matter what words of hatred you use. You keep "trying" to get people to change their viewpoints to yours and that isn't working. I guess you are just too incompetent.
