I think it could only be true if the person meant women should be allowed to use any method of birth control @ any time, not including abortion.

But according to public record, the definition of "pro-choice" DOES mean that you agree w/ abortion, so the definition would have to be changed officially.

*sigh* man I need a nap.

The can of worms has been opened! Pro-choice is just that - being *for* the right for women to make their own choices about their bodies. It just so happens that those choices include abortions as far as many are concerned - including this lady. Many, many, many, many - if not most- people who are pro-choice would LOVE to see the need for abortions dissappear. Think about it this way - crime sucks, but because crime sucks, do you just get rid of the police? War sucks, but do we dismantle the army? No one would choose to have an abortion unless it was neccessary - going through an abortion is hell - but sometimes it *is* necessary, and it is my belief that women who make the choice for whatever their reason should have access to a good doctor and support for after the abortion. We need more and better sex education - that's one of the best ways that people from all sides of the argument can fight abortion. If you go to a clinic, they will tell you about AAAALLLLL your options and allow you to make the choice. Pro-choice isn't pro-abortion at all.

false, the reason i say this is because this society we live everything is black or white, there is no room for the middle ground.you are either one way or the other.life has alot of things that we as humans cannot control, and as a result a lot of unexpected things happened.this is where alot of girls find themselves, and the decision they make is the hardest they'll ever have to make.this is why many people have such a great stand on this subject.you want an answer??.there is no standard answer.if there was there would be no fights between the pro-choice and the people who appose this.this question may never be fully answered.

It means quite simply that believing in and advocating for a woman's right to choose abortion DOES NOT mean that you believe that a woman SHOULD have an abortion.

There are plenty of "you're either with us or against us" people on both sides of the fence who say that it is impossible to be pro-choice and not be pro-abortion. I will bite my tongue now rather than give you my impression of those people.

Being Pro-choice means you believe in a persons right to choose what they want to do. You do not have to agree with
abortion.......you just dont feel that it is up to you to make the
decision for other people.

I am Pro-choice, but not Pro-abortion. Also, I would never condem anybody for their choice. It is in fact, THEIR CHOICE!!

I think its true. Being pro-choice means that you are in favor of a woman deciding for herself whether she wants to have a baby rather than a government deciding that she shouldn't. Every woman should have the right to choose. However, that doesn't exactly mean that you are supporter of abortion. I personally believe that a woman has a right to choose, but I personally do not think that abortion is a good thing, but I defend every woman's right to choose for herself.

I think the statement is true. Personally, I am pro-choice, because the decision to have an abortion can only be made by the person who would be having it. I don't think that I could ever justify an abortion to myself, but I think that if someone else can justify it for themself then the option should be open to them.

Basically, if it is not my body, it is not my decision.

I am pro-choice, yet I know I could never choose to have an abortion myself. But who am I to tell someone else what they should do

I completely agree. That is how I am. The girl in question should make her own choice. Being pro-choice means you want the girl to respect her body and be able to make her own "choice." It does not mean you are for abortion. If anyone tells you otherwise you yell at them!
