If the primaries were held today, who would you like to see run for prez in 2008? I am not talking who you think has the best chances of winning. I mean If you could snap your fingers and see him or her, who would it be? To get us started, my ticket is Mitt Romney and Pat Buchanan, for the win! (anyone's welcome to answer, but I am primarily interested in the conservative outlook particularyly here, thanks)

Eeeg. Good question, but seems like no-one wants it right now, at least that's how they're acting.

Guess I'd go with Romney too, but w/McCain on the ticket. Need the East coast/West coast balance.

I know he's too old, but I would like to see Orrin Hatch. He was my first choice back in 2000. I'd love to see a candidate who can talk intelligently about constitutional law.

Can you think of anyone like Orrin Hatch who might actually run?

Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, or Pat Buchanan.
Or, since we are on the brink of WW3, it might be nice to have someone like General Norman Schwatzcopf (spelling?). I don't know much about his political views, but I know he can kick some ***, and we are going to need that soon.
