Pick out an object that has a special, personal significance. For instance, you might draw a present you received from someone you really like. Then, set it up in an arrangement of related items. You might do a still life of assorted objects associated with that person you really like. Or, you might draw that object at a location where you first met that person.

As you do the drawing, try to convey the emotions that the object stirs up in you. Make it personal. Make it intense. Make it an illustration that could be included in your biography someday, illustrating some significant event or situation or relationship in your life.

Wouldn't you just love to see a sketch one of the disciples made of Jesus at the last supper? Wouldn't you just love to see a sketch by Einstein of some object that gave him the idea for the theory of relativity? Wouldn't you just love to see a drawing made by your mother, of your father, from back when they were just dating?

Hey Katelyn,

I was thinking you don't have to beat your last one! Just do a great job. And it hit me, draw your last one, on an easel, with you standing behind it with a belt in your hand beating it (lol). That would be a good picture of you beating your last one.

Anyway, I like A-beams, and I-beams and T-beams and H-beams crossing, different sizes, different colors, different angles, but in a one point perspective. Or a primitave, with jungle all over and something modern in the hands of an animal or mouth or something.

just blabering. later.

choose a theme and create a drawing based on that theme ... Identity is a great one - you could look at your Identity or someone elses. Have a look at Audrey Flacks paintings for inspiration!!! (They are definately to do with Identity)

draw what you believe to be the promise of the future

if it were my drawing it would have fields, food and children of the world, birds of the sky and sea, and peace like a river.

don't know what your last drawing was...or what type of art you like...could you give a little more info? you might, since its the holiday season, try a kind of collage drawing of what exactly the holidays mean? or, if it was me, an abstract that represents ALL holidays.....

How about your feet under water?
What would the monster under your bed look like?
Draw what your favorite song might look like
What do you see when you close your eyes really tight?

Um. . . .

It should be of a rhinocerous carrying a small girl. There are balloons tied to the rhino's horn.
